• The forklift's retractable mast withdraws until it is located between the front and rear axles. In effect, the lift truck is “shortened,” and the load is now located over the truck’s center of gravity for more secure transport. As a result, the moving mast reach truck requires narrower aisle widths between racking, allowing additional space for storage racks within the same floor area.
